Shield Vase

This Vase is from my “Shield” series, inspired by archeological artifacts.

It was fired for 3 days in the train kiln and reduction cooled. It has a nice dark surface with dramatic ash glaze on one side and a metallic surface on the back. It was thrown and altered and flattened with texture. Made with local North Carolina Clay.
